Abbie & Kyle

Wedding at The Pump House B&B, Bloomsburg, PA

Their Story:

Kyle and Abbie connected online during the summer of 2015 but Kyle was in Rhode Island so the actual meeting was delayed until the beginning of August. We "officially" met in the corner of Governor's Pub in Bellefonte. Abbie knew from the moment she met Kyle, he was the man she was going to marry. Kyle says the same about Abbie but Abbie thinks he just says that to appease her. Kyle asked Abbie to be his girlfriend outside of the Bellefonte Wok on November 7, 2015. [If you haven't noticed, food plays a major part in this relationship.] From that moment, Abbie knew this was going to be her forever and Kyle, most definitely, thought the same. Abbie had started her Doctoral training at Penn State in 2016 and that same year, Kyle moved to Oklahoma to work. We continued our long distance relationship until March 2020 when Kyle moved back to Pennsylvania. In that time, Kyle asked Abbie to take a long weekend trip over the 2019 Memorial Day holiday to his family's camp in Port Kent, New York. After hearing about camp since the beginning of the relationship, Abbie was thrilled. Arrival to camp on May 23 seemed no different than any previous trip and all events leading up to the big question were as normal as any other day. The only oddity was Kyle's eagerness to take selfies which was what lured Abbie down to the coast line of Lake Champlain. Walking towards the water, Abbie found a piece of "lake-glass" - she bent down to pick it up, turned around to show Kyle. To Abbie's surprise, Kyle was down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hands and asked "Will you marry me" which was obviously returned with a gasp and an outstanding "YES!" Abbie, of course, cried while obsessively hugging and kissing Kyle then celebrated by doing what we do best, enjoying delicious Italian cuisine! Abbie and Kyle started wedding planning while Kyle was still in Oklahoma. Kyle actually found our wedding venue online and Abbie scheduled a tour immediately and instantly fell in love. Our date was force as it was the only date left before the end of November 2020 and we (well, Abbie at least) was excited about that since we were able to get married sooner!
